About STORIES STORIES STORIES

Spend three weeks exploring how to transform longer personal stories into improvised pieces of theatre.

Only focussing on these longer forms, we will have the chance to look closer at narrative arc, character, overarching metaphors and how to curate which parts of a story are played back onstage.

Through on-your-feet practice, play, collaboration and expert guidance from Melbourne Playback practitioners, discover your capacity to transform people’s experiences into theatre that is captivating, entertaining and illuminates the universal thread in the specific of personal story.

No experience needed, but this course provides a great opportunity for those with some Playback experience to dive deeper into the longer form.
